"Bunker" - A post apocalyptic short film

Post by King of Creation »

[ Film & TV -> Review ]

I got word today of a new post apocalyptic short film out called Bunker. The film is French, but there are English subtitles. This is what the submitter had to say:

There's a new post-apocalyptic short film by a french actor P. Doucet, spotted at <a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/user/bebeali ... ymotion. After being isolated for a long time in an underground bunker following a nuclear war, a woman named Marie decides to put an end to her life… It's also available at YouTube. The film is entirely shot on a RED ONE so it's recommended to watch it in a high-quality mode.

In my opinion, the movie has some obvious Fallout references: the intro and outro of the movie are similar to the ones in the Fallout 1 game and the numbers of the bunkers in the movie are the same as the numbers of the vaults in the game - 13 and 15 respectively. Although, being a bit weak on the script and dialogues, it's a nice attempt to render some parts of the falloutish post-apocalyptic world.

Check out the film here, here, or below!

I thought it was good, the twist had me, but I didn't like the ending. It also didn't feel believable at times, but it still had me watching. Not bad though.

The soundtrack is inspired by Terminator 4 somehow (excluding the French song at the beginning of course)... And it's kinda stupid to waste a nuclear missile on one female person...
