Fallout 3 Confirmed For Consoles

We've known this was going to happen all along, but now we have final confirmation. Fallout 3 will be made for both Windows PCs and Next Generation Consoles. The <a href="http://www.zenimax.com/content.htm" target="_self">website for ZeniMax Media, Inc.</a>, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks, has been updated to show Fallout 3 as one of their products. Directly below the image states:
Fallout 3
On PC and next
generation consoles.Remember, though, you still have 29 more days. Reserve your judgement until we see what they've got.Thanks for the tip LoneGunman.

Old news, Todd/Pete have avowed it is an intended multi-platform title since mid-2005:

You've confirmed that Fallout 3 is definitely coming to PC. Can you clarify console plans?
Pete Hines: Our intention is to do a multiple platform title. Which platforms that will be, it's too early to say.

I assume you also can't say whether we're talking about current- or next-generation consoles?
Pete Hines: Yes, that would be premature.

Since you now have the rights for the franchise on console, is Fallout 3 also coming to consoles?
Pete Hines: Our intent is to develop and publish the game for a number of platforms.

According to your Web site, Bethesda is hiring developers to create RPGs for "future-generation consoles." Given the Elder Scrolls' long development cycle, should we expect to see Fallout 3 on a next-generation console? Or is it far along enough in development to be released on current-generation consoles?
Todd Howard: I can't say what platforms it will or won't be on yet. We hope to hit as many as them as we can.

But it's nice to have more confirmation, I guess

If it's decent for consoles and my computer hasn't been updated yet, I MAY get it for the xbox360. I probably won't because I don't see myself having an HDTV for quite awhile and most the games look like shit on the standard TV. I'll show Bethesda which one is the best by buying the PC one

Well double shit, if I'm going to buy a console (when I have the money for a decent 1080-tv) i might buy a Wii, but nothing else...damn. Yes, I know wii can't do 1080, but i'm not getting a tv without 1080. Neither of those things are happening anytime soon, so i'm buggered.

What did I do this time?

No mac version, well macs are growing quite fast, and Blizzard figured this out (then again, they have been doing it for a while...plus...Fallout is on mac too).

I'm noy buying a over expensive console, just so I can run glowy and shiny games.

I didn't think Fallout was that wordy... Morrowind was like a fucking 7-part novel. I have also never been a fan of RPGs with knights and castles and magic shit so any mention of that crap automatically bores me.

I dont 100% agree Dogmeatlives, but then I never liked RPGs much until I got Fallout either.

For me, I have to feel that I actualy have a damn choice, and not on what ph4t l3ew7 I wear as my armour.
