I DLd it once.
Played it for a couple hours, simply because its fallout mod.
Then I got rid of it cause it was boring. |

Unlikely.
Haris, you're being monumentally stupid, even by your own standards.
Wasteland Merc is not a commercial game. It doesn't serve any purpose in gaining capital franchise-building, it is a free mod that only has the purpose to please people. There can be no other purpose.
Now you're saying you gave it more exposure. That's great, that means even more people hate it than would've if it were quickly forgotten. It doesn't change that the mod, as a "Fallout" mod, can only be classified as a failure. |

For a mod to be classified as a failure it should not have a fanbase or be played by tons of people and posted about on tons of forums in tons of different languages and there should not exist any fanmade websites or fanmade patches for it.
Considering all that its as far from failure as a mod can get, sure it doesnt please 11 angry guys at nma but than again no game since fallout 1 has pleased them so that says nothing about the mod. |

Pay attention, Haris, I said "as a "Fallout" mod". No doubt modding Oblivion to be more similar to the Sims would have its fans, but not amongst Oblivion fans.
Also;
Link.

Link. To forums that post about it without saying it sucks.
| Quote: | | any fanmade websites |
Link.

There are people trying to mod out the suck?
Also, I noticed that nowhere in your definition of "not a failure" did you mention "people should like it." Apt. |

The Wasteland Merc website is funny. It got as many hits over 2005 and 2006 as NMA gets in one week...
The forum is even better. 1 out of every 4 posts is by haris. |

Someone ask him an engaging question about the game so that he can banter with you about it for the next thirty pages! |

Heh, I know I shouldn't be trolled into this, but:
http://wastelandmerc.8.forumer.com/
I'm not sure if I can call a forum where 3 guys have 70% of the posts, with about 3-4 posts/day, whereas #4 doesn't even reach 1/5th of the posts of #3 or 1 posts/day a "fanbase". Fanbase of 3 people? Niiiiccce.
http://fallout.herni.info/wasteland-merc-2/
Actually, that's a Fallout fansite, not to nitpick or anything.
I'm impressed, though
http://www.gamebanshee.com/forums/fallout-2-57/fallout-2-mods-71721.html
2 references to NMA, 1 to Wasteland Merc? And Gamebanshee hates us, ahahaha.

Yes, boredom in lieu of real mods/games can force people to do strange things, as noted there

Heh...uhm...wow?
http://madbrahmin.bonusweb.cz/index.php?dir=fallout2/mods&id=merc2
http://www.carlsguides.com/walkthroughs.htm
I'm a bit surprised at how many guides there are out there, I'll admit. Idiots come in packs? Or maybe people feel the game is impossible to play without a guide?
http://mods.moddb.com/6639/wasteland-merc-3/
Not much there
http://shamo.gry-online.pl/agora/index.php?showtopic=6015&st=0
First two comments are from someone who immediatelly uninstalled it and someone who calls it boring. Well done.

Holy shit, check out all the posts by you and Ado. AGAIN!

Yes, haris, that's right, there are threads out there that you started. Want a cookie?
Any links out there that weren't a) started by you and b) have people saying they like it (no, not just "try it", actually "I like it")
| Haris wrote: | | Yea thats cause i answer the question poeple ask dumbass. Its not like nma admins are low on posts. And nma is hosted on payed webside moron. Wasteland merc site is hosted on free host wich means google and all other search engines push it down last. |
You answer questions? You mean questions by the 2 other guys? Together you're 70% of the posts, the three of you
As for Google...
Google 991818
Unique Visitors 6402392
Google as % of unique visitors: 15%
Whooooops? There goes your search engine theory, retard.
Another statistical fact! The MIB88 mod, through its several updates, has had more downloads than your site has hits in one year |

Dont force me to post 100 links where WM is mentioned. Those where just few i randomly picked from a google search. You will write your ass off with lame oneliners in betwen each link.
So wait you are seriosly trying to compete in some NMA VS WM thing here. Where nma is "comercial most famous rpg game of all time" fansite that has existed for about 8 years at least and is hosted on payed host with huge fallout content against a webpage i put toghether in 30 minutes just so i could point out people that play Wasteland merc mod to walktrougs and forum where they can ask me questions about it without retards like you coming in and threatening to ban them. Yea that shows how smart you are. Its as logical as saying NMA is nothing compared to WOW blizzard webpage and forum or Bethesdas forums or some of most famous porn sites. |

Not at all, but figures are meaningless if you do not compare them to other figures. Calling Wasteland Merc the "most succesful total conversion mod of Fallout ever" is true, but fairly meaningless, since it's the only total conversion mod of Fallout. Comparing it to whatever is handy; I can compare it to NMA in usernumbers, MIB88 in downloadnumbers (though, obviously, incomplete), and can statistically mock the fact that your "fanbase" is 70% just 3 guys posting and that Google has nothing to do with it.
Also; any links out there that weren't a) started by you and b) have people saying they like it (no, not just "try it", actually "I like it") and c) not on your website? |
