Actually, they use The Vault for reference. Then again, so claims Glutton Creeper.Maximous wrote:Send Bethesda the Fallout Bible.
As long as Bethesda doesn't try to rewrite FO history by making FO3 before FO1, they have chance.

When I think of Fallout NYC, I think of the city in the original TIME MACHINE movie. When the guy goes to the future just before a nuclear explosion destroys the city. I hate to say it but I am pretty excited to see the Fallout world in three dimensions. Especially the East Coast. Scenery, especially buildings, can have a huge impact on a player's experience.atoga wrote: the cities ('specially dc & ny) should all be uber-advanced looking though. less googie and more art deco plz. throw the chrysler building (and some other old landmarks as well, i guess) into the game for a laugh.
I know I'm getting my hopes up now. But just imagine walking across the brooklyn bridge (which would be barely standing) and seeing an annihialated NYC on the horizon. And hearing machine gun fire in the distance. And going into the city. It would be hell.

A Fallout East Coast could be cool, certainly. It would be interesting to see the Amish in Lancaster. I can see them becoming militant and wildly protective to keep people from getting at their food, being that they'd have a very good chance of surviving as farmers after the big one.
Or perhaps they set up a free love commune for anyone to come join and be happy?

I'm cool with East Coast. Sticking to canon is a tough job even for a Fallout veteran.

From a setting on the East coast (per our and NMA's poll), to keeping the same type of atmosphere (at least in the concept art), Bethesda looks to be on the right track.
