Critics claim the $1.2 billion fence would do little to address the underlying economic, social and law enforcement problems, or to prevent others from slipping across the border, The Washington Post reported.

One point two billion dollars for a 700 mile fence? One point seven one million dollars a mile? How does this make sense. This better be some super secret bomb proof, tunnel proof, acid proof, laser proof, communist proof, illegal mexican immigrant proof material.

Mexico's Foreign Relations Department called the fence "a political answer rather than a viable solution."

Screw the mexicans!! Kick em all fucking out! They hate Americans yet are happy to take our money. This fence is a great idea. It's not just a fence either, they want to put in two 20 foot fences on either side of a small road that runs the length of the border with barbed wire and guards every few miles.
Give American jobs back to Americans. Screw Mexicans and screw Mexico, they can all rot in Hell. I'm not racist but what they are doing to our country is terrible.
And I'm sick of Liberals comparing this to stopping people from coming over through Ellis Island. It's bull. Ellis Island was legal, this is illegal, those immigrants came from all over the world, these are all Mexicans. This isn't immigration, it's infestation. They care nothing for our culture, they don't bother to learn our language and they are putting Americans out of jobs. We should go one step further and actively find and kick out the ones that are in our country already.

I used to hate how mexicans would invade our culture and not care about our values and stuff like DogmeatLives stated, but now I don't really care. So much of our state labor work force are mexicans and if we kicked them out then who would fill those jobs? It would mean less people getting college degrees because that what the mexicans did to us. They took all the shit jobs making us pretty much REQUIRED to go to college to get a good job. They can come in to the USA but they got to pay taxes and all the bull. There are too many people on welfare, workers comp, and disability which is bullshit. I say ship all those people out.

I don't think a fence will do anything. This is the 21st centurary, haven't we learned that walls don't mean shit?

Pretty much but the least they can do is pay taxes, because we are the ones picking up the tab for them to get all the government services even though they aren't citizens

I agree with Pooper on the issue of taxes. And no, our country doesn't need Mexicans, they just offer cheaper labor. If American citizens were doing the same work (and if there were no Mexicans, that's exactly who would do it), we might be a little better off. But hey, can't really fix the issue, so it's fun to get angry about it.

Not necessarily US politics, that's the norm for any country, but especially in places with Democratically elected governments. Remember kids, this is an election year, that means the boys and girls on the Hill have to make it look like they're busy or they get voted out. In a few weeks all will be back to normal and they can go back to introducing bills to ban flag burning and gay marriage and vote themselves some raises

If you lived in California oyu would understand that we need them. We have like the most diverse population in the country and shit. Perhaps in other states you guys could get by but that because not a ton of mexicans flood into your state with their oranges and poop fingers.
