If there was a town populated by Super Mutants and Ghouls, what would it be called?

Note: I'm seriously asking this question, as the town in question is/will be in my current campaign/series/whatever, and I can't think of a name that describes the inhabitants without being too obvious.

I'm leaning toward Twisted Rock, m'self.

Well, I like Twisted Rock. Otherwise if you want a real-life name, how about Los Angeles? There sure are a lot of freaks there!

A suggestion of one of the cities I'm using in FoO: Gettoburg. Also one I made up just now: Greenville. If you select yours do you have any problems in me icluding it in FoO as continuity?

Whelp, Twisted Rock it is.

Flamescreen: I'm not sure I know what you're asking. What do you mean "use" the town as continuity? Include it in your campaign? The town's map hasn't even been started yet!

I'm confused...

Do you really think that Ghouls and/or SMs would see themselves as twisted humans? I think that they would see themselves more as the norm and the "Pure Bloods" as the freaks, or at least as inferior.

I know this flies in the face of the fact that SMs and Ghouls are derived from human stock, but identity is rarely a rational issue.

I would suggest looking at a map of the area that your campaign/series is taking place in and modifying a name of an extant town/city.

Oopsies! I forgot to explain something:

The town wasn't founded by ghouls or mutants, it is (or was) a "reservation" of sorts for 'em, built by normals.

Hence, the name of the "town" would be of normal Human doing.

And "no," the ghouls/mutants can't rename the town. Tha'd screw everything up.

Well, that puts things in a different light. Laughing REALLY FUCKING HARD

Here's some suggestions:

  • The Pustule Palace

  • Freakville

  • Ghoulish Archepelago

  • Mount Mutie

  • Stalag 13 (Okay, so that one's a cheesy pop-culture reference. )

  • Freak Flats

Cheers,

One question....

How would a bunch of your average human town planners GET a bunch of Super Mutants to go anywhere they didn't want to without having an armoured division nearby to back up the humans 'request'????

Max, I know it's not done yet, but since after the current map I'm making. i will deal with Faces of Oblivion(Ghoul Campaign), I thought I could possibly included it as one of the towns(you create it, I use it like V13 was used in both FO games). However, if it is just a ghoul enprisonment camp I'm not sure I want to.

The town is an actual town. I said in my "Oopsies" post that is was a prison. The ghouls n' SMs eventually overthrew their captors. If you want to use the map in your campaign, sure. Bear in mind it'll be a while till I make the thing, though smile

Viktor: Yep, that's exactly what the normals did to get the SMs in there! smile

Anyway, the town has been officially dubbed Twisted Rock. What's more, I'm *this* close to finishing the 1st map of Rebellion smile

Rotting Hills is one that I thought of but it makes little difference, just voicing my opinion.

Rotting Hills? Hey, that's a good one!

Unfortunately, the town is made up of Ghouls and Super Mutants. SMs don't rot, do they?

Kashluk: Um, no.

How's about this:

Archepelago

Saw it up above, figured that it worked better just by itself.

Well, no. The town is land-locked, so that wouldn't fit.

I've already named the town to Twisted Rock, but since I'm not a moderator for this forum (*coughOTBcough*), I can't lock it icon_sad
