I've just registered to start a thread about this mod and realized that Fenwick was faster than I.
Good job mate.

So the mod is mad for Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday. It will take place since 2245 in North America.
We are trying to create a strategy game in Fallout World.
You will met here for species: Humans, Mutants, Ghouls and Humans.
There will be 26 playable factions.
The whole tech tree and units known from HoI2 are going to be reworked for this mod to better fit Wastelands.
We are looking for people that would like to help us in creating this mod. Any idea, opinion or suggestion is very important for us. If you would like to contribute little time to help us in our efforts to create strategy game that takes place in Wastelands then please register at the forum and post.
If you would like to ask about something specific earlier then post here. I'll try to check it often and give you answers.

So here are few screenies from the mod:

It looks like an interesting project. I'm a big fan of turn-based strategy, but I somehow have managed to miss Hearts of Iron. I hope you finish this one and maybe I'll try it out. Until then, good luck.

I'm a bit skeptic about the factions; Some seem to be influenced by Tactics(Robots, East BOS)and some are purely made up(Mexico, Lousiana...). I'm not too picky about the canon or how accurate they are with the official storyline, but some people might be sensitive about that. Anyway, I think the overall mix of factions is pretty good. Is this mod going to be released in English, too?

We have decided to put so many factions because in other way the game become very boring very quick.

The game is going to be released ONLY in english. Our graphic is a Pole so he uses polish verion in his works. But don't worry it will be playable for the whole comunity. ;)

I actually want to pick of Hearts of Iron, it slipped past me as well. Regardless, seems like a good plan. I have one bone to pick however. The "West" Brotherhood should be the Brotherhood. The "other" Brotherhood should be the "East" Brotherhood. That way I can pretend there is no relation between the real Brotherhood of Steel and the "Easties" out east.

Incidentally, I bought Doomsday last week so I'll be watching this mod as I'm learning the game. Are you planning to implement nukes in the game or is that Top Secret?

As there is going to be nuclear reactor in Gecko (and probably somewhere else) so I think that you will find some nukes in the game.
The question is how you are planning to transport them?

You think it's going to be easy to get one?

Send your troops to find one.
Send your technicians to figure out how does it works.
