I think the next question is, what time do you have to wake up? And then after that, do you have a job?

SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK.

36 hours, 43 minutes sleep free! And loving it!

Damn, 37 hours. I'm on my 26th, and i'm getting mighty tired already. Fortunately, i haven't consumed a single drop of coffee yet, so i have that as a backup.

Being unemployed, i sleep when i want to and wake up when i want to.

38 hours, 17 minutes.

The real secret is to do something engaging (in my case, do random stuff online while I download Starship Troopers with my 56k). Read, write, beat Fallout in one sitting...

You don't really need caffiene...I just like it.

i've downloaded on my 56k:
Blade 2 (200 mg)
Spider-man (700 mg)
the entire invader zim series (about 2 gig)
Freedom Force (260mg?)
About 10 episodes of south park (400mg)
About 80 or so songs (about 500 mg)
3d studio max (300 mg)

and some other stuff i can't remember off the top of my head.

I download it all while I'm asleep though, as watching kazaa for about 70 hours isn't that intresting.

more sleep=more stuff to download=more time I spend awake watching it

About 4 am. When the clubs are definitively shut, and there is no more kebab to be had.

I've downloaded:

Ninja Resurrection (Parts one and two)-Maybe 300megs
About 20 Zim Episodes-About 1.75 gigs
Around 10 Sealab 2021 episodes-400 megs
X-COM: UFO Defense-8 megs
A little under 200 Audio files-388 megs

And a bunch of other half-done files that I get rid of if they don't download as fast as I expect.

I download stuff as I sleep/not sleep/do other stuff (like the DAC forums or reading 8-bit Theater

i dont go to bed... i usualy try to extend my waking hours, mainly because i REALY enjoy being extremely tired... your state of mind is completely diffrent, light oporia, and you feel happy.

and then, when you cant possibly take the tired feeling no more, you drop your body on the bed, touch the pillow, and have the sweetest, most embracing, soft feeling a man can have in his life

and then, you sleep.
later, you will wake up again, curse your idiotic acts, swear that you'll never do that again, and do it all over again...

there's also the night factor: at night, usualy, around 3-4 am, no one is awake, and its the most peaceful time you can have. not a single soul screams, or raises his voice. no cars, no noise, no ppl at sight... i love it.

and thats my 2 cents

I start work at 10:00pm. That lasts until our jobs are done. Sometimes 2:00am, and other times maybe as late as 12:00noon. Sometimes I sleep at work, waiting for the coaches to come back to the yard.

A lot of times I just stay awake for a couple 3 days. I've once pulled an 11 day no sleep near death thingy. I was hallucinating for most of those days. Sleep deprivation is weird shit.

I get 25-30 hours of sleep each week. Sometimes 12 hours straight. Sometimes in 15 minute power snoozes.

And every day is a bad hair day.

I think they did an experiment somewhere, where they kept a man awake for something like 6 days straight and he went insane.

but I doubt they would have allowed that, so it was probably a lie.

In my opinion, anyone who deliberately misses out on ANY sleep, they gotta be insane already. Including me. So it wouldn't really matter.

But I really did an 11 day stretch, and I'm still a functioning member of society (usually).

then let me welcome you to my club scotch....

insanity? i rather be insane then those pesky sane ppl... insanity is so much better then sanity: an insane person isnt afraid of sane people :D plus

also mate, dont bullshit willya? you cant stay awake for 11 days straight, its biologicly impossible, and i dont mean insanity of anything, i mean the body, not to mantion the brain, in some resting time, otherwise, you'll simply collepse... i believe the no sleep limit is somwhere around the 1 week- 8 days zone

myself, the longest duration was 4 days straight, and the sleep afterwards? it was the best sleep ive ever had, i slept for 28hours straight, and GOD did i need to eat afterwards, i didnt even chew, just stuffed that bread in my mouth and swallowed....
