Bethesda splash out on voice actors

Post by Mr. Teatime »

<strong>[Game -> Update]</strong> - More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... le=Fallout 3 (Van Buren)">Game: Fallout 3 (Van Buren)</a>

<p>Yesterday on <a target="_self" href="http://www.xbox.com">Xbox.com</a>, the trailer was shown for <a target="_self" href="http://www.elderscrolls.com">ES: Oblivion</a>. Since it was a live stream, you can't view it now (though it'll be a download in a week or so). The relevance to DaC was that <strong>Patrick Stewart</strong>
did the voice over, and plays the part of the Emperor in the game. This
shows that Bethesda aren't afraid to spend money on decent voice
actors, and to my mind, all but confirms <strong>Ron Perlman</strong>'s presence in <em>Fallout 3</em>. I'd also say it's likely there will be other well-known names playing parts in the game. </p><p>High production values don't make a game good, but they can definately enchance the experience. </p><p>You can view part of the trailer <a target="_self" href="http://www.gamespot.com/x360/rpg/theeld ... a.html">on Gamespot</a>. </p><p>Thanks for the news tip, <strong>Steve</strong>!</p><p>Update: <a href="http://xboxmovies.teamxbox.com/xbox-360 ... 5-Trailer/" target="_self">here's</a> the full trailer.

Well it looks good... no doubt. Hope it doesn't feel so hallow this time around. I wonder if it would be safe to assume that the release will be timed with the X-Box 360 or shortly there after.

And if so will it also be an exclusive X-Box title for six months before they finally release the PC version. I hate seeing companies bow down to MS and their exclusive release agreements.
