Post by Mr. Teatime »

<strong>[Game -> Update]</strong> - More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... ?title=The Omega Syndrome">Game: The Omega Syndrome</a>

<p><a href="http://www.ausgamedev.com/news.html" target="_self">Omega Syndrome</a>, the <em>Fallout</em>-inspired shareware RPG, has been updated to version 2.04, then 2.05, in the space of two days. Here are the two update logs:</p>
<blockquote>
<p><em><strong>Minor Improvements!</strong>

1) The fleeing routine for creatures has been improved.

2) The infected towns people no longer use weapons as they behave more like wild animals than men.
So they've been given an new ability that makes them formidable in close quarter combat.

3) Poisoning has been changed so you cannot be poisoned by the same type of poison if it's already in your system.

4) Another person has been added to the WT Ganger camp at the entrance to town. He can help you improve one of your skills.

<strong>Bug Fixes!</strong>

1) A bug that affected the trade price in the Trading Panel has been fixed.

2) A bug that occurs if you attempt to quick load a game after or during a battle has been fixed.&nbsp;

</em>

</p>
<p><em><strong>Adjustable Viewport Scroll Speed!</strong>

You can adjust the scroll speed of the viewport. This feature is only
limited by the power of your computer. See the Preferences Screen to
change it.

<strong>Running Speed!</strong>

You can make your character run by pressing the Shift key. Be
careful with it, because you'll loose stealth mode as soon as you start
to run.&nbsp;</em>

</p>
</blockquote>
<p>You can get the download on the <a href="http://www.ausgamedev.com/news.html" target="_self">official site</a>.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Davaris</strong>, the man responsible for the game, dropped by our
forums and implemented some of the suggestions made, so keep giving
feedback...</p>
<p>Thanks for the news tip, <strong>Fez</strong>.&nbsp;</p>

What would you suggest?
Don't hate him because he's beautiful.

I think the graphics are fine, I find them just a bit below the original Fallout in quality in most cases. The game is definately not for graphic whores. The game is fun to play, which is the bottom line for me. It is a one man development team shareware game, which means you have to have realistic expectations.
-Do we have anything resembling a plan?
