Land of the Dead gets more money

Post by Mr. Teatime »

<strong>[Film & TV -> Update]</strong> - More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... title=Land of the Dead">Film & TV: Land of the Dead</a> | More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... tle=George Romero">Person: George Romero</a>

<p>In some surprising (and positive) news, a somewhat niche movie - <strong>George Romero</strong>'s zombie apocalypse, <em>Land of the Dead </em>- has been granted more money by its distributor after Romero stormed off set in frustration on the last day of shooting. <a href="http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/index. ... e=newsfull" target="_self">Bloody-Disgusting report</a>,</p>

<em>Time to gush with joy because I've got some big big
news for you all! After losing the battle and storming off the set on
the last day of shooting, it looks as if George Romero has won the war.
I've just been informed that Universal is so happy with Romero's Land of the Dead
that they've given him more money to do some (what I've been told)
"extremely necessary" reshoots. I cannot tell you specifically what,
but I can say I've heard some incredibly optimistic things about
Romero's fourth zombie pic and it's said to become "even better." More
news in the coming weeks. </em><em>Land, which may see an earlier
release date, stars Simon Baker, Robert Joy, John Leguizamo, Dennis
Hopper, Pedro Miguel Arce, Krista Bridges, Eugene Clark, Boyd Banks,
Asia Argento and many more.</em>

<p> This is one of the films I'm most anticipating this year.

Wahay, finally a film to get properly excited about.

I haven't heard much about this since he was trying to get some dvd-retailer to finance it (Anchor Bay, I think it was... does that even make sense?). It's good that they give him money. He deserves all the money. All the money.

Go George!

Choke on it!

Also, Asia Argento is fit.
