STALKER - a release date?

Ever since the game's release date was changed to 'indefinate', the previews and Q&As for STALKER have completely dried up. However, Gamerankings are reporting a new release date:

THQ Inc., today confirms that their highly anticipated survival first-person shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl for PC will ship in Fiscal Q4 - 2005.

"S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl represents an important new original intellectual property for THQ and we have moved the game to our fiscal fourth quarter, which we view as an optimal window to establish a new IP," said Darren Williams, Global Brand Manager, THQ

I can't help thinking it's vapourware.

Update: As THQ confirmed to us, this piece of news is wrong. The current release date is still "when it's done".
