<strong>[Person -> Update]</strong> - More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... title=John Carpenter">Person: John Carpenter</a> | More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... itle=Debra Hill">Person: Debra Hill</a> | More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... tle=Escape from New York">Film & TV: Escape from New York</a>

<strong>Debra Hill</strong>, the other half to <strong>John
Carpenter</strong>, died yesterday after fighting cancer for more than
a year. She was only 54.

Not only did she heavily influence <em>Escape from New
York</em> and <em>LA</em>, she also had a part in
<em>Halloween</em>, <em>The Fog</em>, and many
other <strong>John Carpenter</strong> movies. Recently she's been
working on getting the <strong>Snake Plissken</strong> franchise up
and running with the comic book, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.escapegame.com/">video
game</a>, and animated film, among other things. How her death
will effect these things I have no idea.

Poor woman. Cancer is more often than not an especially appalling way to leave. Not that familiar with her work, sad nonetheless. :drunk:

Damn, I hope her work still has a chance to be finished. It'd be a shame to see it die with her.
Don't hate him because he's beautiful.

I guess I know of her work then, but I never knew of her (or I forgot). Snake Plissken is hard to forget though.
