Debra Hill, the other half to John
Carpenter, died yesterday after fighting cancer for more than
a year. She was only 54.

Not only did she heavily influence Escape from New
York and LA, she also had a part in
Halloween, The Fog, and many
other John Carpenter movies. Recently she's been
working on getting the Snake Plissken franchise up
and running with the comic book, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.escapegame.com/">video
game</a>, and animated film, among other things. How her death
will effect these things I have no idea.

Poor woman. Cancer is more often than not an especially appalling way to leave. Not that familiar with her work, sad nonetheless.

Damn, I hope her work still has a chance to be finished. It'd be a shame to see it die with her.

I guess I know of her work then, but I never knew of her (or I forgot). Snake Plissken is hard to forget though.
