Battlefield: Apocalypse and more

<strong>[Mod -> Update]</strong> - More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... tle=Zombie Panic (Half-Life)">Mod: Zombie Panic (Half-Life)</a> | More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... e=Warriors of the Apocalypse">Mod: Warriors of the Apocalypse</a> | More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... attlefield: Apocalypse">Mod: Battlefield: Apocalypse</a>

There have been a few mod updates, the most significant being on <a href="http://www.apocalypse.doomlab.com/">Battlefield: Apocalypse</a>.
They recently had a test night where they got together and played
through the mod. The games were recorded and have been put together
into <a href="http://www.apocalypse.doomlab.com/modul ... id=6">this 52 MB video</a>.
I have to say I am loving that wooden plank with spikes on. The whole
mod looks very professional and the team are to be congratulated.

In more traditional mod news, <a href="http://www.zombiepanic.org/site/index.php">Zombie Panic</a> are asking for people to help them out:

<blockquote><em>If you are interested and serious about making Zombie
Panic the best mod you can, please send emails to zombiepanic@gmail.com
stating what you have to offer, and examples of previous work if
possible. You can also contact Twilight or Kezei on the #zombiepanic
channel on Gamesurge.net.</em>

</blockquote>
Similarly, <a href="http://www.wotamod.com/siteindex/index.php">Warriors of the Apocalypse</a> have announced a new team member joining them: Jeremy, a "<em>young, single college grad with serious talent.</em>" So snap him up, ladies.

He's just a dreamy, hunk of a man! Hold me back before I ravish him!
Don't hate him because he's beautiful.

That Warriors of the Apocalypse-mod looks promising... now that Jeremy is with them that is!

Anyhow, they have some surprisingly entertaining weapon-descriptions on their site.
This one is for the Mosin Nagant: "A very old yet powerful rifle. Chambered in 7.62x54R for maximum carnage. This rifle can penatrate most body armors like a hot knife through baby." Thats right!

R 10-22: "A great starter rifle for young children. Moderately accurate with a decent rate of fire, this rifle is capable of causing bodily harm and/or death sometimes."

They are really focusing on being child-friendly in this mod.
There are no 'knowns'. There are thing we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. And each year, we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns.

At least it wasn't "This rifle can, like a hot knife through body armor, penetrate a baby."

I think Valve has been sending out complimentary packages of crack to mod teams.

That might explain some things.
