Russian gaming magazine called <em>Igromania</em> has been
carefully following the development process of <a href="http://stalker-game.com/">STALKER: Shadow of
Chernobyl</a> since December of 2004.&#160; Some of their
articles have been translated by the guys over at <a href="http://stalker.myexp.de/en/index.php">O ... </a>.&#160;
They go into detail about the AI and the AL (Artificial Life) of the
NPCs, among other things.

one of the many, yet he is alone, he is occupied with his needs, and
they are with theirs, and that is how the concept idea for

the monsters could live on a diffrent level, while the gamer is living
on this level, events occure, the gamer recieves information about
these events, so that he could go there and find the results of those
events and etc.

What I'd like to know is why this game hasn't been released yet if they already have all of these nifty and innovative things?

There hasn't been as many stalker previews for a while, perhaps they're working on fabulous artificial life scenario!
