STALKER. Maybe

Post by Mr. Teatime »

<strong>[Game -> Interview]</strong> - More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... .A.L.K.E.R: Shadows of Chernobyl">Game: S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadows of Chernobyl</a> | More info on <a href="http://wikipocalypse.duckandcover.cx/in ... title=Oleg Yavorsky">Person: Oleg Yavorsky</a>

I'm sure I've posted this before but can't find it in the news archives, despite looking for it over the past day. There's an <a href="http://www.hcgamer.hu/gamer/index.php?p ... res=1">old Q&A with Oleg Yavorsky from the STALKER development team at HC.Gamer</a>. Old, as in last year, and for some reason news sites have only just started posting about it.

<blockquote><em><strong>HCG: There is a notice in the official
website of the game that players can make NPC's and the best of them
can be found in the game. What kind of NPC descriptions did you receive
so far? Are there any which is really will be included in the game?
Could you please tell us some examples? Did you get funny NPC
descriptions? </strong>

<strong>OY:</strong> The response to "Monster Ball"
contest was amazing! The task was to come up with your own monster
concept, including his image, description of his behaviour, habits,
places of living, ways of attack etc. We promised to provide awards to
authors of the best 10 monsters and the top one to get implemented in
the original game. We received 500 or so monsters designed fully by
players! And what's remarkable, most of the concepts were really solid.
So you can imagine how fierce the competition was! That fact didn't
make our choice an easy task whatsoever. In the long run, the winners
were announced and although we couldn't please everyone with a prize,
we'd like to thank every participant once again.

At the
official game site recently we posted the image and description of
Snork - the contest winner which has already been implemented. Check
him out <a target="_blank" href="http://www.stalker-game.com/index.php?t ... strong></a>.

</em></blockquote>
I still think that this is somewhere in our archives, but I can't find
it. Anyway, it's funny to notice how ever since the game was delayed
indefinately, there hasn't been a single Q&A for the game. Maybe
they've been told to get some work done?

There's a strong chance this title will be vapourware of the year.<em></em>
