Almost 9 hours of blood, fur and samurai spirit. Damn. Brings back good ol' childhood memories... This anime was made back in 1986 and I've seen the very-much-cut "kiddie's version" of it in 1994, over 10 years ago. Just got myself the DVD version and damn... it's so good that I think I'm going to cry.
The fact that it's a fucking nostalgy bomb for me might have something to do with it's value in my eyes. But nevertheless, if you're hot on warez and shit, why not get yourself some Silver Fang episodes while you're at it ( http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/350.html )? There's only two anime series I've ever managed to sit and watch completely through, Hellsing is the first one and this is the second one.
Just thought I'd come and say hello while I'm at it. MERRY XxX-MAS!!!11 lollorz omghj
EDIT: And boy oh boy, that theme song (in the opening) is catchy.

No. Not many romantic moments involving dogs either, now that you mention it. Even though it might seem like a wet furry day dream at first look, it isn't.
I watched a few of the clips. It has the whole Top Gun homosexuality mantra thing going on in a few clips. And it doesn't pay to see the characters drawn like furries on all fours.
But the music is catchy for something made in the mid-80s.
