Sooo, yesterday Germany declared war on me... I can't imagine why though. Suddenly I automagically joined the Allies who were embargoing me (is this rilly default behaviour? It does seem rather queer) and now I'm stuck in a war I don't want. And since I'm now suddenly allied I can't make peace with the germans, and I will not be able to declare war on Norweh....

Until an DLC pack comes out that follows up a masterfully-narrated epilogue with the words, "THREE WEEKS LATER..."

My iberian invasion of africa has been a success. Australia however seem to fight for every last piece of desert they own. They refuse to surrender even after loosing all of the major cities. The light green is australia, the dark green is portugal.

I still cannot quite figure out the whole HQ->Division->Brigade hierarchy, so I wont play with a major nation until someone explains it to me properly. :chew:

Is it pretty closed up or is there any space for modding yet?

This game's really, really buggy shit.

I hope the patches will fix this.

Thery released snippets of code along with the dev-blogs, so there were some mods out the same day. I'm using a speed-mod, that stops the AI check for trade-possibilities down from 20ms to 1 second between trade initiation. Less trading, more speed.

Paradox are a bit lazy when it comes to bugfixing the game before its released, but they make up for it with raw WW2 historynerdness.

One thing i miss is all the non-historic puppetstates you could create. Luckily they are geeky as shit on the modding forums.

and replace goggle girl?? Noooo! This could be the best one I've had yet.

edit: on topic: make sure you use multiple save slots or autosave monthly, because this game easily corrupts your saved games without reason. I got into this amazing naval battle and managed to wipe out nearly 1/3 of the british navy, but the subsequent save got corrupted and had to reload and now I can't even find the damn enemy fleet! :gnasher:
