I'm able to get onto the Nexus less and less these days and more mods keep getting pumped out, with a slowly lowering ratio of worthwhile to complete shit files. I'll keep my eye out though, and if I get a new cpu, I'll be sure to post pics of the giant mess of mods put into it.
Thank you very much DML, I appreciate that. It was actually your nomination that sealed the award, so good job.Dogmeatlives wrote:damn Manoil, this thread is epic and I have nominated it for thread of the year. I love you.

One of them, the classic mutant facial features, was taken down-- I recently managed to find and speak with it's creator, he's gonna be able to give it to us and possibly let us host it. We'll have to wait and see.

Yes, yes, YES. And thank you for coming forward; as much as I love being ignored and presented with a million retextures, I was looking for your mod. I liked it enough to have it among DaC's recommended mods.
Would you allow DaC to host it, and update it when you release a newer version?
the quote above needs to be featured as a dac caption!I would like to have a look at it too. By the way, what is this DaC?

Whatever you say, Amis. To answer your question SD... well, I find it a necessary task.
One may ask, what do you mean by "necessary task?"
With an open modding kit able to change any aspect of Bethesda's released content as well as introduce new content all together, there is at least the hope of not only correcting flaws and making Fallout 3 acceptable, but possibly even bringing it up to a standard that, while it may not ever match the legacy of the prior titles, it may have equivalent quality of a different, fractionally-parallel type. While never the same, it could only hope to shoot close, and only with the help of usermods.
Now I would hope I'm not alone in that sentiment of wanting the game to not only be better, but pay due respects to its ancestral counterparts. Is that not reasonable?

I find this completely reasonable. My goal in modding is to bring Beths buggy, childish and generally not good version of Fallout 3 closer to what makes the Fallout Universe so great.Manoil wrote:Whatever you say, Amis. To answer your question SD... well, I find it a necessary task.

I have realized it wasn't the isometric view or the turn based combat that makes Fallout what it is. It's the writing, depth of the world and characters, and cleverness of the the storylines.
