Ranger HQ-Grid updates - Newcomer

Post by Saint_Proverbius »

[ -> N/A]

One of the better sites devoted to the classic Wasteland RPG, Ranger HQ-Grid has updated with some new goodies for everyone to enjoy including some new additions to his resource page, The Underground which has information about lots of things you'll see in Wasteland as well as the The File Room.

One of those files being a link to a Hungarian post apocalyptic RPG called Newcomer which was in development until last summer for the Commodore64. That's right, kids. The venerable Commodore 64!

However, before the C64 thing scares you away, check out the <A href="http://www.newcomer.hu/Pages/screenshot ... enshots, which really aren't bad at all considering the limitations of that old hardware.

Oh, and if you decide you want to try it, you'll need either a Commodore 64 or an emulator. For emulators, you should probably try something like VICE or CCS64. At least, those are my two favorites.

Keep up the good work, Ranger Ben!

I must say, the graphics are superb for a C64.
I haven't played C64 since I was a kiddo but I guess I'll give Newcomer a try.
