Im in the army now

one time when i thought i was going to get kicked out of college for being a BAD A$$ i went to the army recruitment centre and asked what i could do. they looked at my hands and said my fingers were really thin (i have the hands of an artist ok) so i could only be a regular soldier, which i thought was bullshit as if youre going to go in the army and might die you might as well be a cool dude like a space marine or something. so i didnt go in the army or get kicked out of college.

Well, looks like I just got called back to the military for a recap.
Maybe i'll finally get that rank of corporal they promised me.

Also a couple of friends just signed in on monday to the same base I was stationed in.

It's actually PFC / lance corporal to be more exact. Korpraali =/= Corporal = Alikersantti

That is a pretty horrible excuse, if the US army is like that then they would probably refuse me for special forces or something cause I have skinny fingers too. Maybe they are afraid that I will jam my fingers up in battle and won't be able to use them.

A good 6-7 years ago I bought a CD with Estonian army songs from WW2 (ended up donating it to my grandfather), some really good stuff there salute

Erika is probably my all time favorite. Too bad the Germans weren't that good with their marches & propaganda songs otherwise. Somehow I can't relate to them, nor do I find the melodies interesting.

Soviets, on the other hand...

I'm a draft dodger myself, I basically told the doctor that with my use of amphetamine and cannabis I cannot be held accountable for the consequences were you to hand me a firearm. It was mostly bullshit of course but it kept me from going Kashluk. Anyway I hope you had a good time in the army Amis

I dodged it as well. Was first handed 15 months in Boden, just shy of the polar circle. However we downsized our military just then, so I managed to dodge it by simply asking.
