What do you think of "A Night At The Opera", the new Blind Guardian album?

Simply perfect or plain sucky?

In a MP sketch, the surgeons bring out a machine that says "PING!" to impress the boss or something...

(I can't remember the details right now...)

Yup... Alas, being swedish does explain a lot!

What kind of music does the Blind Guardian play? Rock 'n' roll? Jazz? Heavy Metal? Black Death Metal? Melodic Trance...?

Melodic, Medieval-inspired Speed Metal.

(It's kinda obvious if you look at the design of their website...)

No, it isn't obvious! I've seen humppa-bänds, that have a grossome websites and stuff, but then they're just a bunch of sissies...

I suggest that you visit http://mp3.com (or use Kazaa...) and find some of their music...

Don't know who they are. But if you are talking about a song that mixes some opera vocal in it, I think I might understand what you are talking about.

I know One Night in Eden (Sarah Brightman), A Night in Tuscany(Andrea Brocelli), One Night in Paris (Depeche mode), The Phantom of the Opera, but One Night at the Opera? :?
To the soul's desire
the body listens
What the flesh requires
keeps the heart imprisoned
What the spirit seeks the mind will follow
When the body speaks all else is hollow

They aren't bad. I dug the Lord of the Rings stuff.

Yeah, their LOTR songs were very good.

"Metal Ballads" is a good definition for their newer albums (Nightfall in Middle-Earth and A Night at the Opera), but their older albums are speed metal.
