I wonder what other, crazier left-overs there are out there. New Vegas must have a treasure trove.
Appearing stupid is sexier than being stupid. Although I hear stoopid was a cut perk in fallout three, but was abandoned when the devs found out it could be simulated by simply playing the game...

I remember back when games were censored for content like this.

Now we live in this new and enlightened era where everything is so fucking shitty that there's no need to censor it. It just wallows there directly on top of the lowest common denominator like one of those "obese but I know you can still fucking walk, you piece of shit" people in electric scooters at the grocery stores.

Yeah. I mean, despite the fact that it's a terrible thing, Bethesda made the kids in Fallout 3 so annoying, and blatantly too happy to have lived in a wasteland environment. Took loads away from the realism of the game. It would have been better to not have included them at all.
Or be able to kill them...damn little lamplight..

Uhm? What games were censored in the U.S. for stuff like this 'backthen"? If anything they are censored now for things like that.

I found Little Lamplight to just be a ridiculous and stupid location. How the hell are a bunch of whiny kids supposed to have held off all of those super mutants for so long? Not to mention how they were able to build the Ewok style tree house city.

I think what you should be more worried about is that Biwwy knew how to alter a lazer rifle and make it stronger....

The whole thing was just a homage to Mad Max 3, the worst in the series. Hey, I'm seeing a pattern here...

The level design of Little Lamplight is cool. The premise is good also...IF the kids found the place like it was and were secluded from the rest of the wasteland. However, we're led to believe that the kids somehow built this massive Ewok tree house structure (although it's around a pillar in a cavern rather than a tree), and the base where super mutants are created is literally right there. All that's stopping the muties from coming to get all the kids is this garage door thing and a few pistols. Yet somehow they manage to hold off an army of super mutants.

And where exactly have the new kids been coming from if they've been holding down the fort for two centuries?

Never actually thought about that bit. Maybe the people from Big Town have kids and send them to Lamp Light? In that case, it's all one big incest-party.

It was actually the first question that popped into my head once I heard the age limitation. How do they replenish the ranks without having anyone past puberty?

And how have they managed to repel slavers and Deathclaws from their junkyard-treefort? Where have they been getting the ammo and supplies to do it? Where were the child-corpses/skeletons near the cave entrance of the Vault? If they could die from muties in the first place (as indicated through conversation), why give kids the 'essential' tags that make them invincible? Are Fallout 3 NPCs born invincible and loose the trait at puberty?

Shit is mad crazy logic, yo

i thnk the little lamplight was merely paying homage to the kids in beyond thunderdome..

now back to more realistic talk, like how there was a "house boat cruise control comning soon!" section of the vault survival guide, when that comment would only be read afer the fact ;)
typos are bound to happen. fuck it

Lol, sounds like someone is trying to rationalise poor game design.
