Army of Two.

Post by Burnov »

Laughable plot, ham acting, adolescent dialogue.

Surprisingly fun co-op gameplay.

Honestly. One thing I long for is the days when most games that came out had co-op built right into them.

So many games these days don't let you play through the main story with your friends regardless of how incongruous it might be.

Co-op gameplay is awesome. I miss it so much.

This game was all too short, but it was enjoyable.

You can't deny that some of the one liners were fucking hilarious in the worst ways.

Modern gaming is designed for (internet)multiplayer.

YOU DON'T EVEN NEED FRIENDS ANYMORE! How great is that?

yeah, way too many games (for 360 anyway) reward the friendless. internet multiplayer loses its appeal after an hour or so of annoyances.

Yeah, dealing with half the douche bags on Halo 3 is pain. Either they think they're so bad, or they bad in sucky way, with finding the decent players one in a million. Same for Team Fortress.

I'm sure there is a money angle in there somewhere.

I love my co-op games, I used to buy anything on N64 that had co-op in it, simply to play with my friend. L4D is a good compromise for me, as it combines essential co-op playing with my friends, while having an awesome greifing aspect to it which I absolutely adore.
There really is nothing more enjoyable after a hard days work to just fuck up some survivors progress on a map, and laughing as they rage quit.

But before L4D, I had DoTA to do this in.

the only redeeming quality (besides hilarity) in AoT was the multiplayer - me and a friend beat it the first day I bought it because the MP was awesome - killed the replay a little bit, but it was a damn fun run.

That game is still fifty bucks used at gamestop...

Well it only has like 6 or 7 levels and each of those are like 40 minutes long at the most.

I would have killed for some of these co-op games when I would have like a friend sleep over and we would play games all night but we would usually have to stick with versus unless we played something on the snes. Co-op kind of died during the 32bit-64bit consoles but then came back right when It wasn't cool to do sleep overs anymore :sob:.

Now that my friends have xbox360 all they play is COD and nothing else.

Stainless, what co-op games did you have for n64? I found that there wasn't very much and if a game did have it, it usually was pretty bad cause of the limited power of the n64.

Haven't checked battlenet in a long while, but I used to love those maps. All the "hacked" versions were annoying though.

The aggro system was interesting, but what I really want to see adopted in upcoming games is more bling on my weapons.

Not stainless but the second Mystical Ninja on 64 had fun co-op.

Admittedly alot of the co-op that we played, were simply us not rape facing each other but helping each other compete against the computer. (because N64 games had ridiculous cheating AI). Thinks like F-Zero and Mario Kart were last-man-standing events. Super Smash Bros killed lots of time with handicaps, etc. Starcraft was also kind of fun holding off 6 computers. So really, not so much co-op games, but rather games that had AI bots for multiplayer, and the ability to team up.
