FO3 is On the Top Ten Console Games Sold in October

Post by POOPERSCOOPER »

<strong>[ Game -> Article ]</strong>

<p>Despite coming out October 28th it still managed to place 3rd on the October list. I'm guessing there was a lot of pre-orders and stuff.</p><p> </p><blockquote><p> </p><p>
<em>The top ten U.S. console games in October, according to NPD, were:
</em></p><ol><li><em><a href="http://www.shacknews.com/tag.x/Fable+2">Fable II (Lionhead, Xbox 360)</a> - 790,000 units
</em></li><li><em><a href="http://www.shacknews.com/tag.x/Wii+Fit">Wii Fit (Nintendo, Wii)</a> - 487,000 units
</em></li><li><strong><em><a href="http://www.shacknews.com/tag.x/Fallout+3">Fallout 3 (Bethesda, Xbox 360)</a> - 375,000 units
</em></strong></li><li><em><a href="http://www.shacknews.com/tag.x/Mario+Kart+Wii">Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo, Wii)</a> - 290,000 units
</em></li><li><em>Wii Play (Nintendo, Wii) - 282,000 units
</em></li><li><em><a href="http://www.shacknews.com/tag.x/Saints+Row+2">Saints Row 2 (Volition, Xbox 360)</a> - 270,000 units
</em></li><li><em><a href="http://www.shacknews.com/tag.x/SOCOM%3A ... ion">SOCOM Confrontation</a> (Slant Six, PS3) - 231,000 units
</em></li><li><em><a href="http://www.shacknews.com/tag.x/LittleBi ... eBigPlanet (Media Molecule, PS3)</a> - 215,000 units
</em></li><li><em><a href="http://www.shacknews.com/tag.x/NBA+2K9">NBA 2K9 (Visual Concepts, Xbox 360)</a> - 202,000 units
</em></li><li><em><a href="http://www.shacknews.com/tag.x/Dead+Space">Dead Space (EA Redwood Shores, Xbox 360)</a> - 193,000 units</em></li></ol></blockquote><p> </p><blockquote><p>Not bad for a sequal to an unheard of game on consoles. Probably somehow related to OBLIVION. You can read the rest of the nitty gritty about the list <a target="_self" href="http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/55909">here</a>.

The fact that Fable beat it makes me happy in some sick, perverse, sense. The fact that Wii fit outsold it just mystifies me though.

I hate how the Wii is totally hip and trendy with the 20-30 now.

I remember a few years ago, video games were something you had to forget about when talking with girls; you'd only reveal to your girlfriend that you spent hours on that shit once your relationship was stable.

Now, having a Wii is litterally a plus when you're trying to hook up with a bitch.

I just don't like the idea of girls getting into or conversing about videogames at all. Men do the hunting, the warring, and the videogame playing. I guess I'm just oldfashioned like that. Girls don't know what they say anyway. Half of it is memorized from mass media, recited and credited as original thought.
The other half is just random jibber-jabber about trivial shit.
