No shit, I bought some wild strawberry ice cream earlier today but I suspect they use regular strawberries. As for da real thing, I don't think I've ever encountered one. :(

they're not so hard to get in Poland; my mum has some in the garden. They taste and smell quite different from strawberries.

no, we mean a separate species, this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woodland_Strawberry
which has a distinct aroma, taste, and appearance from the common strawberry (which anyway tastes so artificial in the USA and other "western" countries, also in Poland traditional strawberries are more and more difficult to get - being ousted by the tough water bubbles that they sell in the stores)

organic strawberries taste much better than the biogenically raped ones, and the fake ones are huge, I saw one today in the food market as big as a tangerine wtf :?

we have been through this in another thread, and i know which ones you are talking about. And yes, they are crap loads better than the commercially grown ones.
I was just remarking that eventually they will figure out that you can grow the wild ones comercially because people fucking love them. Well I do at least. My uncle(R.I.P.) had a subsistence farm in poland and used to grow them around the house. And they taste fucking great.
