Post by Urizen »

<strong>[ Game -> Update ]</strong> - More info on <a href="#Fallout 3">Game: Fallout 3</a>

Gamespy has compiled their annual E3 awards, and Bioshock came in first in the categories Best of Show, Xbox 360 Game of Show and PC Game of Show. Fallout 3 came in second in all three categories.

<strong>Matt Grandstaff</strong>, Bethesda community manager, didn't seem to take it to hard, and congratulated Bioshock on his <a href="http://bethblog.com/?p=149#more-149" target="_blank">company blog</a>:

<em>"Congrats to Bioshock for beating us in all three categories. Still, lots of really good games on that list that we&rsquo;re excited to play ourselves, so we&rsquo;re thrilled to be on the list."</em>

Fallout 3 got a few awards as well. Also from the <a href="http://bethblog.com/?p=149#more-149" target="_blank">Bethesda Blog</a>:

most of the other commentators placed Fallout 3 behind Mass Effect and a few even had Fable 2 ahead of it.
The answer to your first question is shaddup.

What the fuck...

They're handing out awards for the best PR in a PR festival?

Who fired the rockets on this handbasket?

Nothing like a slow-moving localized apocalypse to really make you think about proper data backup procedures.

It seems Bethesda needs to beef up the next-gen factor in Fallout 3 if it intends to sell the game with profit. Bowing to the core fans is gonna scare away their primary target audience. :aiee:

Beth/Todd are making a mistake...there are NOT making anything new. How can you get an award for copying the same crap you did the previous year with Oblivain with Guns

Your avatar looks like Vault Boy watching the candle of Fallout 3 be extinguished.

The red cloak symbolizes the cultishness of Fallout Fandom.
