[ Game -> Update ] - More info on Game: Fallout 3

Desslock, from PC Gamer, recently replied to a post by Briosafreak over at the QTT forums with some very interesting information.

Briosafreak: On a final note
there seems to be a few doubts on how the game will turn out. First
person and Real Time combat are locked, there's no way to change that

Desslock: All I'll say is that you are wrong.

Now, as we know, Desslock had a visit to the Bethesda studios a while back. He saw a bunch of Fallout 3 stuff while he was there, confirming East coast locations. We know that he's been there, and that he's seen things, so it's logical to assume he has intel on this.

If we all gather around and hope real hard, we might get an isometric turnbased Fallout 3. Let's just wait for the OXM article, aye?

1st person, 3rd person, not much of a diffrence.

And with a 3d engine, its easy to set the camera to a FPS or 3rd person prespective.

FPS are vastly superior, they just feel better and the main character won't block sight on enemy heads or other dumb shit. :flamed:
Max Payne 2 or the GTA games are pretty fun to play, nonetheless, I admit.

Operation Flashpoint is proably one of if not THE best FPS ever, and it has 1st and 3rd person views.

na, it wasnt that great.

To balanced, and felt more like a generic shooter than star wars.

Is that the game where one has to walk countless hours to even get to shoot anyone or worse has to sneak for hours so one doesn't get shot?

I can care less. My shooters need fast-paced gameplay, many enemies and cool guns for omfg orsome headsh0ts

I prefer realism, or as much of that as you can get from a game.

OFP delivers that.

That, or I plug in the stargate mod for OFP and have fun with sci fi shit.

That, or I plug in the civil war mod, but give myself a machine gun.

Anybody have any ideas about what 1st-person and RT mean to this guy? I'll give a cookie to the first spook who digs it up.

1st-person = useless remark since Morrowind and Oblivion both had a feature to pan the camera to isometric
