Herve Still Intends To Develop FOOL

Post by King of Creation »

[ Game -> Update ] - More info on Game: Fallout: Online

In recent SEC filings, Herve Caen managed to just wish away Interplay's debt, and now fully intends on developing the Fallout MMORPG that he's been talking about.

Apparently Interplay is trying to get funds through some sort of shady offshore dealings:

Interplay Entertainment Corp. (IPLY.OB) today filed a Form
8-K with the SEC announcing the Company has engaged a Paris-based
investment bank to conduct an offshore Private Placement of its common
stock. The offering of newly issued shares for an amount of at least
(euro)20 million and up to (euro)50 million in total will be reserved
exclusively to non US based accredited investors.
He intends on using this to fund production of FOOL:
Having
significantly reduced our debt over the past two years, we are now in
an improved position to raise capital. This private placement will be
another critical step toward the funding and development of our Fallout
property into a Massively Multiplayer Online Game, which represents our
plan for growth in the coming years.

How in the name of God is Interplay still able to do this?

- Angry outburst ala 500 characters -

I feel better now.

Also, Interplay's stock rose 500%!

... to $0.05/stock.

They are going to hire rats to make FOOL? French rats?

I'd be more worried about how they expect to buy servers to host this thing... much less find and retain developers willing to latch themselves to this butt-trumpet of a company.

Here's the wierdest-case scenario: Tim Cain et. all return to Interplay.

It could happen. :giggle:

Anywho, has anyone heard from Tim C. in the past few years?

That'd be weird.

JE Sawyer returning to Interplay is much more probable, I'd say.

I think the clue is in the acronym for Fallout Online.
"When conversing about oligarchy, you must consider this point: Many children are taught from an early age that monarchies are primarily benevolent, and are given very little to discourage this opinion until at least adolesence. Even more prevalent are stories about the supposed benevolence of heirs to the throne, symbolising a cycle which they are taught is good."

If Troika didn't get a backed up funding for fallout, how in the gods name would Herv get funding... :threesome:

Ps. why isn't there Herve icon?

EDIT: Troika part, but still. If they couldn't get the funding for the licence, there is no way herv will get it for this. No way.

<spoiler> Troika died. </spoiler>

Also, because there's nobody with the mad MSPaint SKILLZ who has done it. I sense you've volunteered yourself.
