It's just a matter of time before Brios is on his knees sucking bethesda cock for FO3 info then he will hand it out like cookies to the community. YOU CAN ONLY TAKE 1 COOKIE OR YOU WILL SPOIL YOUR DINNER.

Emil, how does your beautiful auburn hair maintain that lush, natural sheen?

Truly. I've got brownish red hair but it has long since lost that amber glow. Yours on the other hand - it's magnificent.

Alright, all jokes aside. In the unlikely event that this is a Bethsoft dev, we should try not to be hostile to him, in the hopes that he'll be won over by our charms and be supportive of our cause.

Would that be enough for a rape charge or do we have to wait for the first official screenshot? :?

Didn't Emil used to work on the Thief games? That's one of my other favourite series. Though sadly it seems pretty dead now.

Anyway, I agree with johnnygothisgun. Until there's some more official news, flaming just looks as silly as George Bush. :POLITICAL:

Heh, yeah, I really am a Bethesda dev. I did indeed work on the Thief games (good times -- but yeah, sadly, the series looks to be dead in the water), and was a designer on Oblivion (I did the Dark Brotherhood and Arena, among other things), and *gasp* I have read the Fallout bible. More than once, even! :)

God, that picture haunts me. It makes me look like Rob Reiner for God's sake. Unfortunately, my "official" headshot that recently got taken looks even weirder; I inexplicably decided to shave my goatee that morning, and decided to grow it back the next day, so it's not even what I look like.

Anyway, I've been the lead designer on Fallout 3 for quite some time now. It's not exactly the type of offer you turn down, you know? And no, I really can't say anything about anything. But I just wanted to pop on and say hi.

Indeed.

And I kinda liked the dark brotherhood storyline and feel so you might be okay by me.

I don't think I played Oblivion long enough to get exposed to that, but I do remember thinking the Arena sort of stood out as being more developed than the rest of the game, so kudos.

Please don't be too shocked by what you might find on these forums, we're inherently a pretty hostile community when we feel the Fallout franchise has been threatened, but this is a wonderful opportunity for interesting discourse between the next installment's lead designer and people who are so notoriously crazy about Fallout that it's safe to assume everything you've read about us is true. I know you must be very, very vague at this point, but can you reassure us? We'd like that.

A bit linear, though. But I did like it.

SmileyFaceGuy had enough of us then, huh? And they sent you as a replacement? You must have done something really naughty to get punished like this, Emil...
There are no 'knowns'. There are thing we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. And each year, we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns.
