Map Review forum

Post by Kreegle »

Here we go - a map review forum. Here's my idea for how things should work: someone creates a thread (maybe I'll do it when I post new maps), and the title should be formatted like so -
Map Name, by Author Name (Map Type)
For instance, Max-Violence's Jailbreak 2 map would have a thread named: Jailbreak 2, by Max Violence (Single player).

Sound good?

Also, it goes without saying, but I'm lame so I'll say it anyway... constructive criticism - no trolling or flaming. Have fun!

Oh, I don't know about all that now. I find you rather..."stimulating"...

I'll be monitoring this forum closely and I have a case of athlete's mouse finger when it comes to flaming someone else's creative endeavors.

We've got a voting section for maps at NMA, and if you'd like any maps included there for that purpose I'll be glad to add them in and perhaps also give a mirror site of the map there, too. Just email me with the details and such.

I just finished the rating graphics for the voting script and it looks very good so far.

EDIT: Also, I've started a Top Ten rating for maps, which might change from time to time. I'll update it every week or two.

Also, new versions of maps there, email me with updates and I can also take additions.

Good going Rosh.

Maybe one day my name will be in a thread title.

Nowhere to hide, by TheReaper (single player)

I'm dreaming now. It's gonna be ages until it's done.

Been away for some time... A long time ago I made a map of a small town I lived in. I was just wondering if there is a place to just post maps
(for some one to use in their projects). I 've tested the map for stairs and roofs, but no programmed events.

PS I actually enjoyed making map over programming.....

You can always send it to NMA or DaC as a template map. Otherwise email it to me, my username @hotmail.com. I don't know when I'll be able to put it up for download but if it fits in with the style of my campaigns I could always use another map.
