Summer Activities
I want to enjoy this summer and all I have been doing is like playing a few games and looking at porn. Please tell me some activities you guys do during the summer that doesn't involve staying in your room the whole time. I'm always looking for shit to do that is "fun" and also "outside" but I can never think of any. HELP ME!
You could get a summer job, go to the beach or to a bar, get involved in some organization, work out or why not open a cigar shoppe.

Gym? It's summer... Oh wait, you guys are like the frozen north all year around right? Totally forgot.
If you want to work out, get a couple of buckets or perhaps banana crates if you're really living the poverty lifestyle ( cover all the holes with cardboard ), fill them up with sand on the beach, and carry them around. Drink hard at noonish when you're in a public place ( like a library ) and try chatting up people half or double your age ( especially funny if you're 84 years old ). Get some books on engine construction and make your own vehicle out of busted up parts ( there are usually alot of them around, and free as well ) -- there are possibilities of it turning out cool and post-apoc looking, and besides it's a great skill to have. Get a summer student discount for traintickets and just jump blindly onto ( or, if you're emo, under ) a train and travel to fuck all, try to get by on as little money as possible ( especially fun is to spend nearly all your money the first two hours, on the stupidest things; like 2000 newspapers ) while seeing a bunch of different, mayhaps uninteresting places. The good thing about leaving your home town is ofcourse the fact that you can be yourself ( if you're repressed at home ) or you can larp a complete and total fuckhead ( which for most of you would be the same as numero 1 ). Lastly, and this is my favourite: you can kill a man in Reno, just to watch him die.

Start a fire in a drought-stricken area of the country.
Would be a fun kind of terrorism.
With timers and disguises one single person could roam the highways spreading fiery havok.
Maybe keep a blog as PyroKane. (walkin' the earth...)
Glorious!
Listen to the voices!
Vary travel modes: buses, rental cars, bicycle, hitchiking.
Rental cars might leave too much of a paper trail/e-trail.
Goddamn that would be so much fun.
When's the last time we had a "Mad Bomber".
It's been too long!
Arson!
Maybe make a cult.
Call it The Firemen.
Or The Burners (like in Jeremiah).
The fight song would be Ring of Fire and the spray tag and "secret insignia" would be a red circle.
Ink Spots - "I don't want to set the world on fire" would have to be modified in order to become part of the canon.
Secret sign: play with a zippo like a butterfly knife, then put it back in a different pocket.
Lets talk about fire and burning!
At sunrise one will see a great fire.
Noise and light extending towards the north.
Within the Earth death and cries are heard.
Death awaiting them through weapons, fire and famine.
Nostradamus C 2 Q 91 (Hogue 209).
Remember Oppenheimer's Vishnu quote?
Oh, how I love fire.

Actually, summer would be the perfect time to pick up a few conjuring tricks. Smash people's watches and give them a rodent in return. Hide a handkerchief up your bum. Con people by doing the "money ripping" trick, and giving them back a phony bill while keeping the real one. Travel closs country with your act.Redeye wrote:Play with a zippo like a butterfly knife, then put it back in a different pocket.
EDIT: Or better yet; join the circus, you horrid abomination!

I must be the only person on here who actually fishes as a hobby.
I recommend fishing but you have to do it a couple times to see if you like it or not.

I sort of want to try fishing, but I don't know any, uh, fishing people. It seems like a good enough way to spend time doing nothing though.Mandy wrote:fishing and stuff
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

I already have massive muscles and I usually break stuff with them so I don't need little girly gyms.
Also fishing is a bit of a redneck thing and I don't know any people that would actually want to fish. Maybe when we were a lot younger it would be cool but now its not. Plus our local "fish place" is mexican paradise and the fish have been rumored to be all messed up. Maybe a real lake would work better instead of the giant hole filled with water next to the dirt factory.
