I rather think the ideas were executed according to Bethesda's wishes, and that the game reflects Bethesda's goals. They got the game they wanted.

I just think it wasn't made for you Walt. And in the same vein, you surely won't like Oblivion either.

Then I deeply appologize in advance for liking games that are fun better then those that are not.

I disagree about MW being a high quality game. The ideas were great and lofty, but the execution was extremely sloppy. Nothing seemed to work like it was supposed to. I thought it was a fun game despite the quality, not because of it. It was giant sandbox that was enjoyable to explore and kill stuff in (like Diablo on steroids), but it failed as a believable alternate life simulator/role-playing adventure, which is what it was supposed to be.

edit: I just realized that I'm posting in an Oblivion thread so I'm going to go cut myself or something in punishment.

How is it arrogance? I'm putting the fault of me disliking a game on my shitty tastes instead of the game's quality.

My bet is it'll probably run great on the 360, but like MW on PC's...

A pity...

Would you mind telling us what do you think of the finished product, as game, and speak as a player? Do you enjoy it?

I'm addicted to it. I find it a lot more compelling and fun than Morrowind. Even after working on it for nearly 4 years. YMMV, of course, but I think it's great.
