Like I said though, they have to be made here and parts kits aren't as plentiful as AK parts kits making them very expensive. For that price one could purchase a competition grade AR15 and some snazzy accessories for it.

Also, as I understand it in Canada you can't have magazines with a capacity over 5 or 10 rounds, I forget which. In either case guy's have got some goofy laws just like us, but more so.

Well. Five rounds. However.

The sweet thing is you can legally jerry rig a hi-cap magazine to only accept five rounds, and usually many gun stores will do this and sell them off. That's not the cool thing of course, but..

The interesting thing is you can do the most half assed job, so it's very easy to revert it back to hi-cap status, and it's still legal.

This is a loophole many gun stores take advantage of. Because if it's that easy to switch, the only illegal act is getting caught without the plug/screw/ etc whatever it is to restrict the capacity.

Not to mention I know many people who make the trip down to montana and buy things like higher capacity mags for their SL8s and whatnot and just don't declare them. It's risky, but it's small enough to put in a jacket pocket or what have you...

I'm not saying it's right, but it's been done...

They sell silencers for the G22 in montana... :eyebrow:

Silencers are restricted items here in the States, they have to be registered with the BATFE. You can't simply go down to the gun store and buy them I don't think, you have to fill out an assload of paperwork and send them $200, then you have to wait for them to approve it. Then it's registered to whoever bought it in Montana, so if the BATFE shows up to make sure everything's in order and they find that silencer missing they're gonna wonder where it went.

I reckon taking the pins out of the magazines to make them full capacity once again is rather illegal, hence the reason for putting them in there in the first place. Although when the shit hits the fan and those zombies show up it's nice to know you got them 30 rounders. And so long as you're sending the undead back to Hell where they belong your shit bag politicians shouldn't care...

Okay, that's a lie, they'll bitch about the rights of the zombies being suppressed by armed hooligans. Just proves my point that politicians are anti-gun and pro-zombie.

Oh yes. Quite illegal. However it's their fault for allowing modified high cap magazines to be sold as low capacity mags to begin with.

The thing is, as I mentioned before. The only illegal thing here is being caught with it unmodified. The gun store owners here know this, and they exploit it by selling off easily reverted high cap mags.

Just bought a Harris bipod for my AR and it's damn nice. Since I have a Knights RAS on the forend I had to order a Samco rail adapter for it. So for question one, where can I get a half rail for a Knights to cover up the part of the rail not occupied by my bipod? I've seen them at gun shows but I haven't been to one in years so i'm not sure if they are still available (also heard that Knights were going to go off the market for civs due to overwhelming demand which interfered with their military contracts).

Also I'm converting a Remington 870 (not sure of the exact model but it has an 18.5 inch barrel and full length tube) into a combat shotgun and was wanting a good side saddle and a solid metal heatshield. Was gonna get that Surefire foregrip but now i'm not so sure since it's ass ugly as can be and ungodly expensive. Still I suppose it would be useful.

I'm also in the market for a good Compact scope like the one pictured above. I have no idea where to start looking however or what is good and what is shite.

Went to the gunshow today with the intention of just picking up some ammo and AK mags for a friend, but as I was wandering around, eating some beef jerkey (another staple of the American Gunshow) and then I found this:

Image

I've been wanting a Mosin-Nagant for a while and this one just started talking to me, so I bought it. Simple as that. $70, another $15 for the bayonet, 80 rounds of ammo cost me only $7.80, should have bought some more, but I already spent way more than I wanted to.

Image

I guess it was made in Izhevsk in 1942, so there's a good chance it's been used to kill a couple Nazis, an even higher chance than my SMLE in fact.

The cost of the rifle and ammunition as well as it's power, about the same as a .308 makes it great for arming a band of wasteland warriors or Zombpocalypse survivors.

I remember being young and seeing the patriot, I also remember that being my first inclination that Mel Gibson was on the road to suck. Mad Max, Road Warrior, Lethal Weapon, Braveheart, Payback all kickass. The Partriot, We Were Solidiers, Signs, The Passion of the One True God the Jesus of the Christ Our Lord Amen and so forth...not so good.

Haha it's only cheaper if you can't get your ammo as military surplus. I think.

I've got dies for .303British but I haven't got the press and all that, my grandfather does. If I want to reload .303 all I gotta do is ask him. That's cheaper than buying new ammo because .303 isn't all that popular and surplus ammo isn't as plentiful as 7.62x54R. So as long as this stuff stays this cheap it's simply not worth it for me to reload, especially since I don't plan on shooting this gun all the time. Working the bolt is a fucking bitch. Cycling through a full magazine and it's nap time.

Why not buy a Mosin-Nagant? At these prices you might as well pick one up. They're cool guns with a lot of history behind them. Also, I'd like to have a collection of combat rifles from each of the major combatants in World War 2. I've got this one any my Lee-Enfield, next I might pick up a Mauser, although I'd like another handgun first.

Long mausers fucking rock. I'd much rather get the WW1 rifles. I'm poor though, so I do my shooting with a .22.

It's not a Mauser, it's a Mosin-Nagant, two totally different weapons.
