There's a new (translated) interview available to read on Oblivion-Lost. The original Russian interview can be found here. Actually, it's not an interview, it's a couple of really dumb questions. Here's the whole thing:

Alex "ANWer" Nevsky:
Oleg, Good day.
Will you answer a couple of questions? Wn the final report, first trip into the zone, someone keeps screaming, distant shooting is heard... atmosphere, after all. But it may not be to some people's liking. Will it be possible to turn this thing off, or not?

{GSC} Oleg Yavorsky:
Greetings!
Atmosphere will be created with this ambient music. I think there will be an option to turn it off.

Alex "ANWer" Nevsky:
In regards to the the proning ability. Has the final decision been made? Will it be possible or not?

{GSC} Oleg Yavorsky:
To go prone - no, but it will be possible to crouch pretty low.

Alex "ANWer" Nevsky:
Can you say anything about online testing? An approximate date at least. Or is this question still being discussed with THQ?

{GSC} Oleg Yavorsky:
It is still being discussed.. we are preparing/optimizing the netcode.

You can not only CROUCH in STALKER, but you can TURN THE FREAKIN' MUSIC OFF.

No wonder the game is delayed, that's some hot shit they've got.
