<strong>Jacob</strong>,
from <a href="http://www.permutedpress.com/">Permuted
Press</a>, dropped by to let us know about a new apocalyptic book
in the works. Entitled <em>It's Only
Temporary</em>, the book is scheduled for release on the first of
July.
<blockquote><em>Permuted
Press is pleased to announce that the official website for Eric
Shapiro's apocalyptic tale It's Only Temporary is now available.

Scheduled for release July 1, 2005, It's Only Temporary has already
received rave reviews from several well-known authors. The official
website features cover art, praise for the book and, best of all,
chapter 1 of Eric's dark roadtrip through armageddon is available free!
Visit the site now for a taste of what bestselling author James Rollins
called "an apocalyptic masterpiece":

Enjoy!

</em></blockquote>I read the first chapter...it's more <em>Armageddon</em> (<strong>Bruce Willis</strong>)
style rather than post-apocalyptic. There's a giant meteor heading to
Earth, and there's only 10 hours left. Give it a go if you're
interested.

What is Bruce Willis-style post-apocalyptic? He was only in Armageddon and 12 monkeys that were post-apocalyptic. Armageddon is more like disaster-style post-apocalyptic...
There are no 'knowns'. There are thing we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. And each year, we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns.

Sorry..I meant in contrast to post apocalypstic style. Armageddon wasn't really PA in style, it was more of Impending Disaster style i guess you could say.

"Armageddon (Bruce Willis) style rather than post-apocalyptic."

I don't see how that could be misinterpreted. Did I miss an edit?
Don't hate him because he's beautiful.

It does appear that they all die. Yay. Woo. Preparing for death is so much more interesting than avoiding it. :drunk:

I'm expecting that the .002% survival rate will apply to the main character or something and it'll be all "LOLZ PLOT TWIST!!!!"

Then, for the sake of his species survival, he must breed with the cockroaches and children's entertainers ! Get the duct tape and the pornographic magazines ! Seriously though, I suspect you are correct. Few authors kill off their protagonists, or enjoy it (with the occasional author loathed, reader adored irritant exception). :drunk:

I think he will die... But then again I probably would have taken a long walk off a pier if this was actually going to happen.
