pacifacation bot

In the Great Bend mission you must kill all the robots. I heard that you,re not supposed to kill the pacifacation bot though. In my game I couldn't beat the mission until I killed it. Is this bad? And if so How might i go about fixing it?

If you feel guilty about killing it, overdose it on drugs instead. You can do this later to kill things without losing karma.

ok but I heard it had something to do with the missing general or something. Does it make you lose Karma when you kill it?
