Memory Modules

Post by Warlord »

Can those be used with some computer to raise your stats?

There are three of them: green, red and I think yellow. Green was something about endurance, red for strength and I remember? yellow being something about perception.

So where can these be used?

There's a Brotherhood of Steel bunker in San Francisco . You may only enter after you completed a mission from the guy guarding the bunker.

He wants you steal Vertiberd plans from the Enclave Base in Navarro.

After you've done that and brought the plans to that guy , you may enter the bunker . Down there is a computer that will perform stat surgeries , that is , if you have the proper modules. There are also other goodies there like pulse weapons and a power armor , BOS power armor

That's odd. I once tried them on that comp. but nothing happened...I don't know if it has been for that I had unpatched version back then..

You don't use them on the computer, you simply access it, and given it's in your inventory, you'll get the option to use the upgrades.

Red is for strength, located in Vault 8 (Vault City)
Yellow is for Intelligence, located in Sierra Army Depot
Green is for Perception, located in the Military Base
Blue is for Charisma, and it's in a locker in Navarro

There is none for endurance.

It was said that you could train in SAD to gain endurance (or find a module there for it, but there isn't), however you can't - training will yield +10% (in 2 +5% bonuses, using each punching bag) unarmed skill.

As for the Vault 8 doors, try some buffout (save first, or deal with the addiction I guess).

Well, duh, why do you think he was waiting to find a PA to open it?

That reminds me, using a crowbar on those doors lowers the requirement (8) by 1 (I'll let you do the math :).

did you know people that one dosen't have to gain vault citizenship to acess Vault 8? those guards that ask for ID when you approach the door don't do so when you're in combat, so just tap your weapon or press that good 'ole A key, get in to combat, and just stroll right in!
heh

All is fair in Love and Fallout eh? Well it's still sorta cheating :)

There's plenty of ways to get in without being a Citizen... But apart from killing the entire town, it's all cheating...

Of course if I play with words, yeah, you can - if you become a Captain :D

I usually only become a citizen after the gecko plant quest, BUT i get every citizen privilege (except the damn vault) using the fake papers, so you get the papers and tell him you could turn him right in that moment and he'll give you 300$ then get into the city using the papers and go to the store, when the guy at the store says he's gonna put the papers at a machine let him do it and they'll pass  . So what now? Go and turn the guy that sold you the papers.

Result:You dont have citizenship papers but the guards think you are a citizen and lets you pass always AND you can buy in the store.

Hope that helps.
