How about we as a community make Fallout 3? With our talents combined we could do it. We would need to keep it underwraps though :)

I'm pissed that BIS is making a Fallout game for console instead of PC. How could they turn their back on us?

Fallout is owned my Interplay, plain and simple. Not to mention the fact that it would require a whole, whole, whole lot of time. The Fallout/Fallout2 engine and tools released via GPl could speed the whole thing up, and as long as Interplay said they allow us to use the name in noncommerical means we could make a "Fallout 3" and have it for download.

My opinion is as follows:
Ask again if Interplay releases the Fallout code via GPL, and givesyou express writen permission to use the Fallout name for noncommerical perposes. It would help if you arrange someone who can incorperate a 3D engine with it, before asking around for everyone to pitch in, as well.

Yeah, that Fallout game for console isn't really a Fallout game. It was code named Fallout Fantasy but the real name is Lionheart and it is about midevil stuff.

The Fallout game for console that was named Fallout Fantasy wasn't for console either.. :roll:

Yeah I know it was first stated that it was going to be for console. But that was before E3.

You mean Interplay? They had people working on Fallout Tactics as well, and still managed to screw up the Fallout setting with that game. Heck, they had Chris Taylor, who was the lead designer on Fallout, working on Fallout Tactics no less.
