Living Anatomy

Post by cowpaste »

Many people seem to recomend it, but is it really that good? +5 to damage sounds nice, but isn't it to max damage? Plus, I have to sink all those points into doctor. :(

The bonus +5 damage comes as an addition, even to the maximum damage of your weapon.

You only need 60% Doctor and gain +20% on the skill, so I think it's a good deal, especially if you want to complete all those quests that require high Doctor-skill.

Doctor perks rule! I almost always play a doctor, they're so fun/cool...
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

Does that mean for every shot in a burst you get +5?

yes, that's how the rules work.

Are you sure it's each shot of burst? I was reading Per's guide today, and there is this:

"When using burst weapons, each bullet is treated individually when it comes to penetration, damage etc., so it's possible to fire full auto and not do very much damage against an armoured opponent. (Try the 10mm SMG on the aliens in Redding and you'll see what I mean.) This also makes the perk Bonus Ranged Damage more useful, but Living Anatomy does not add damage to each bullet."

So maybe living anatomy merely adds +5 to your total damage at the end. That probably explains why I haven't seen a really huge difference in bursting before and after living anatomy. Maybe I just haven't tested it enough. I dunno.

I'd still say that it's a nice and underestimated perk. And yeah atoga, being a doctor is cool in Fo2, I do it all the time. 8)

I guess so, but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, ruleswise.
