I am going to the mall this weekend, probably today sometime soon. But for those who are up up and awake like me, what currently newer single player action game for the PC is worth getting? Please let me know as soon as you can.
I already told you in the Dev forum to dodge both. There's gotta be some better FPS's for your money. And if not then fuck it and wait. You don't have to buy anything.
What's so bad about Red Faction 2? I really like Red Faction 1, for 30 bucks I'd have already picked it up if I wasn't broker than Chucky's game design.
Red Faction 1 was way to short. Hell, if you're that desperate for a game order Giants: Citizen Kabuto off of the Interplay site. For the $6.95 it'll cost you, it's pretty good.
Red Faction 2 is pretty cool, but it's not something I go back to playing all the time. I have the PS2 version, which is pratically identical.
I say wait for something better to come out unless you have the money to spend.
If you're going to get something, get that Phoenix Rising Sun game thingy with the dune buggies. Played the demo for that, it RULES. Really really fun and has a sense of humor. Post-apocalyptic.
I just got Giants and Deus Ex with my soundcard.
Giants is pretty funny, but there are a few bugs. I like it.
What you guys think about Deus Ex? I am having a really hard time, so far. I mean, how am I supposed to kill anyone on this stupid island without a fully automatic weapon?
Are you in the very beginning on Liberty Island? The main idea is to sneak around and take out as few people as possible. A cattle prod and gas grenades are all you need.
Anyway, I'd have to go with Lynxer. I repurchased UT2k3 last month and I'm very happy with the way things are turning out. There are so few good games worth buying these days.
Everyone says Raven Shield is short & easy, lacks the edge of the previous ones but it's hell of a prettier + has much more options than any other R6-game. Correct?
Edit: And about Deus Ex... Take the knife/crossbow/pistol and aim for the head. Does the trick every time...
Deus Ex is buckets of fun, as is Raven Shield (which was developed in Montreal, incidentally). I can't be counted on to compare the latter to the previous entries into the series, though.
