Batch update: I didn't intially post it in here, but we're currently workng to get the project back on the track and we're (slowly) moving towards a 2nd techdemo release. We'll be mostly focusing on improving the engine at this point as there is too much functionality missing at this point to add ne...

Thanks a bunch for the coverage :-)

One note though: the project is not FIFE-related besides that it utilizes FIFE as engine. No former FIFE devs are currently involved in PARPG besides me.

The engine or the game?

Usefulness usually lies in the eye of the observer. If you tell me how you would define usefulness in this context, I'll tell you if FIFE or PARPG meet these conditions.

I'm not formally involved in FIFE anymore KingOfCreation. I've founded a FIFE-based RPG project about a year ago; check it out here: http://blog.parpg.net/

We plan to ship a first techdemo of it in mid March.

Hello and welcome to yet another FIFE news update :-) When I decided to step back from my position as project manager of FIFE so I could focus on my studies and private life back in September last year, I was hoping to find a new developer who would overtake my tasks and act as new project manager o...

I don't get offended :-) I just hate to answer these kind of questions. FIFE doesn't share one bit of code with ianout. If you would have invested five minutes of your time you could find that kind of information at our wiki. Furthermore it's impossible for an open source project to be "complet...

That's not true. We've been working on it since 1997, months before Duke Nukem Forever was announced. The sole purpose of this project is to increase my epenis on this forum by bloating my post count. Worked fine so far.

Hello and welcome to yet another FIFE update :-) This time we'll cover the ongoing name change process of the project. We asked the community to send in proposals for a new name and new meanings for the FIFE acronym to underline that we've moved away from our Fallout roots. Now that the proposals ha...

It's time for a little FIFE update again :-) We're currently considering to change the name of the project or to choose at least a new meaning for the FIFE acronym to express that we've moved away from our initial Fallout roots. The engine is simply neither limited to Fallout-like games in particula...

We're currently looking for a web designer to help us creating a new FIFE website as the current version looks quite rusty already and its design is not consistent at all among the provided subpages (forums, news, wiki). More information can be found here: http://mirror1.cvsdude.com/trac/fife/engine...

There are two important things to talk about so we decided to post a little developer blog update to keep the community up to date about the current status of the project. FIFE is still progressing rather slow because of the lack of active developers who can invest time into the project. If you thin...
