I didn't spot that tread, but I had already considered that coincidentally. They were race type BOS, so I changed them to raider, and it didn't seem to change anything, so I changed them back to BOS and still, it didn't work. Are you sure, I faintly remember reading a guide somewhere which explained how to do what he is suggesting. More info on Map
The map does look a bit odd without walls but I like it like that. Concerning the surperior range advantage, use sneak and invisible wall traps are used. Because I'm not a great artist I am setting the map with just plain BOS pipe grate floors, the setting now blasting enemies in an underground inst...
