All righty then. The Vault is back. The skin isn't - I'm sure we'll get that back up soon - but for now, the Vault is back online and is (or at least it seems to be) working properly. The search function for it now works and it's re-directing to the right URLs when you try and edit something. You will find the odd messed up charset which is due to our server move but you should be able to edit it, fix it and all will be well.

The Wikipocalypse is also back online for all your Post-Apocalyptic goodness. The Polish versions of both wiki's will be re-established shortly and along with that our Polish subdomain, Sierra Army Depot, will also come back online (though with a few messed up characters which will hopefully be fixed over-time).

All-in-all, it's been a productive morning.

Just so you all know, the wikis are coming back, as are the subdomains (sorry Sierra Army Depot :( ). We've had a bunch of problems with installing databases which the wikis and subdomains use. DarkUnderlord (and Mutant) can explain this in more detail than I can, but it's being worked on and we're trying to work something out.

Also on an unrelated note, is anyone here good with HTML? We have a few very good site designs done but I'm not confident enough in HTML to code them. If you're a decent webdesigner, let me know...

News related to Top Story: Wikipocalypse Launch

Unfortunately there have been some technical issues with the wiki's we so proudly announced as working. They'll be down for the next couple of days as we re-install them. This is necessary to fix some problems that were occuring, such as the search function failing to work in the Vault and the Wikipocalypse having some incorrect URL links coming off of it. Unfortunately, the data from the Polish Vault, Krypta, has become corrupted. Unless I can salvage it, it may have to be re-created from scratch.

Well that was fun. The wiki's are now online and operational. Duck and Cover now has three wiki's which you can all participate in. They include The Vault which is the wiki for all your Fallout needs. Second up is Krypta which is the Polish version of the Vault. You can thank Ausir for that (and the quite large Polish Fallout community as well). You'll notice a few of the images are missing but we'll upload them within the next couple of days.

Finally, it is with great pleasure that I announce the birth of the long-awaited Wikipocalypse. This wiki is DAC's database of Post-Apocalyptic information. Games, Films, Books, Music... whatever we can even remotely call Post-Apocalyptic will be added to the Wikipocalypse. Those 'more info on' links that have been appearing above the news posts now all point to entries within the Wikipocalypse. You can now click on those to find out more info on something or, if the information isn't there (like it is at the moment), add some content in to get the ball rolling.

Eventually the Wikipocalypse will be themed, if possible so that it looks like the rest of DAC. In the mean-time, it's open for business though so feel free to edit any existing entries or add in all the post-apocalyptic stuff that's missing.
