Obsidian Entertainment are the guys currently making Fallout: New Vegas. Some of the guys there also worked on the original Fallout games. These things you should already know. You should also already know that Obsidian has another game called Alpha Protocal which we've intermittently reported on just because we like Obsidian. Turns out that Sega likes Obsidian too. They already want a sequel to Alpha Protocol even though the first game hasn't even been released yet. From That VideoGame Blog:
Even though the first game remains unreleased, Sega is taking down notes for a sequel to Obsidian’s Alpha Protocol. Talking on the 1UP podcast, studio director Constantine Hantzopoulos said they’re already coming up with possible concepts for a sequel to the spy RPG.
“I’ve got some folks playing [Alpha Protocol] right now internally, and, you know, basically coming up with some concepts for, eventually, AP2,” Hantzopoulos said. “It’s the old slap on the head, looking back, and saying ‘What were we thinking?’ but sometimes you just go ‘We’ll shelve it for AP2.’”
Alpha Protocol went through a rather odd second delay last year but is expected to finally see release this Spring.
Thanks for pointing it out Dr. Xen! |
